Connect your own tools
and your AI assistant
Three steps, about five minutes. Included on every plan, including the free trial.
The code examples below are in English.
Create a key
Sign in and open Settings, then the API tab. Choose whether the key may only read your data or also change it, and copy the key somewhere safe. It is shown once.
Point your software at the address
Send the key as an Authorization header on every request. Start by calling the first example below, which confirms the key works and tells you which account it belongs to.
curl https://hostearnings.com/api/v1/me \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" # then, for example curl "https://hostearnings.com/api/v1/transactions?start=2026-01-01&end=2026-03-31&limit=50" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" curl "https://hostearnings.com/api/v1/reports?type=net_cash_flow&start=2026-01-01&end=2026-03-31" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"Or connect an AI assistant
Assistants such as Claude can talk to your account directly using the address below, over an open standard called MCP. Once connected, you can ask about your numbers and hand over a payout file in ordinary language.
claude mcp add --transport http hostearnings https://hostearnings.com/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
What a key can and cannot do
A read-only key can never change your records. Keys expire after ninety days unless you choose otherwise, and you can revoke one at any moment, which takes effect on the next request. No key can create another key, change your billing, or publish anything publicly. Deletions go to the trash, where you can restore them.
Fair use
Sixty requests a minute and five thousand a day per key, with tighter limits on imports and reports. Your own use of the app is metered separately, so an assistant working in the background cannot use up your exports.
You will need to be signed in.
